What's the point of listing private courses?

Because they are my top-10.  If you want a top-10 public list, go ahead.  Am I on a public golf-only board?

AvidPhillyGolf -

Out of curiosity, what would your Top 10 list look like if you had to eliminate the four courses that are not quite in the Phila metro area?  i.e. Metedeconk, Hidden Creek, Saucon Valley and Lancaster.

I'd probably put in Manny's, Aronimink, Philadelphia CC, and Rolling Green

Good additions, all.  Three Flynns and a Ross.

What would be your 11-20 list?

Also a strong list.  Good call on Lookaway, which often gets overlooked because it is newish and quite private.   One change I'd made is to replace Waynesborough with Green Valley.

Good point - GV is very underrated, probably because not a lot of people get to play there.  Back nine is terrific.  If they took down about 1000 pine trees, it would make a lot of top-10 lists!

You guys have missed White Manor on your lists of exclusively private "favorites." Quite frankly, I'd rather play Commonwealth than some of the over treed privates that have been mentioned Also, Glen Mills on the public side should be noted.
